  • Keep It Short & Simple - Set a timer for 5 - 10 minutes and jot down whatever comes to mind. Keeping it brief can make it less daunting.

  • Find Your Flow - Experiment with different times of the day to see when journalling feels most natural for you.

  • Make It Personal - Your journal doesn’t need to be neat! Scribbles, ticket stubs, or even smudges of ink can make your entries feel more authentic.

Keeping a creative journal is one of my favourite ways to express myself. It’s a space to experiment with stationery, art supplies, and explore new ideas. Here are 10 ideas to inspire your journal:

  1. Pockets & Tags - Add pockets and tags to make your journal interactive. Store photos, tickets, or record personal moments, like small acts of courage.

  2. Magazine Cut-outs - Use magazine images as the focal point of your pages. Free leaflets and lifestyle magazines often offer great visuals to repurpose.

  3. Patterned Papers - Incorporate patterned paper, whether from craft magazines, wrapping paper, or old paper bags. Many patterns are also perfect for writing on.

  4. Tip-in Cards - Attach a tip-in card with washi tape for extra journaling space. Decorate it with stickers or add a photo without using up space on the page.

  5. Envelopes - Add envelopes to hide private entries. Try making your own, like an origami envelope, to add a decorative touch.
